Kia Ora, welcome to the Swedish Vallhund Club website.

We are the official breed club in New Zealand and are recognised by the Dogs New Zealand (formerly known as New Zealand Kennel Club). Formed in 2009 we officially advocate for and represent the breed and our members nationally. Swedish Vallhunds are a rare breed, there have been less than 500 dogs whelped (born) in New Zealand since the 1970’s.
